My First Christmas Tree!! Yay!!

This year I decided to put up a Christmas Tree. I
have always avoided this in the past saying I don't have children and
I will do it after we are married. Well this year something changed I feel very
Christmas-ey (if that's a word).

First I hung our stockings Rays, Mine and my doggies of course!!

Next I hung up my poinsettia wreath.
Don't you love it?

Then I made center pieces one for my living room and
one for my bathroom. This well be replacing my usually bathroom
potpourri for the next month.
(This is the one in the bathroom.)

My nativity set. I love it!!
I know it's small, there are no wise men, but it's okay
my tree isn't that big!!

My Favorite ornament!!
I love Cinderella!!
(I thought I took a picture of this turns out I took
a movie, I got a new phone this week and I am
not yet good at using it. So this picture is off the
Disney website)

And Finally now for my Christmas Tree!!!
And Yes, that is my sister and I in the picture,
I am the older one in case you were
wondering!!

Have you put up your Christmas Tree yet?

A Christmas Bonus:

His Black Box!!

I had recently stumbled across a site called His BlackBox.
Which is basically a BirchBox for men, I thought to myself "wow this is great
especially right in time for the holidays." Who doesn't love their husband or boyfriend to
smell good? The box cost $12.00 a month shipping included.

I got Ray a box in September, it came right in time for his birthday which made me
happy, The packaging was great. However, one of his items were missing I contacted customer
service and never received an answer back. Then October's box came a few days
ago. This time he had 3 different shaving creams (really?) and no card
saying what each items was.

I have now canceled the membership which makes me
a little disappointed because I really wanted to like this company.
I was thinking I had found the perfect gift idea, as a little extra something to give someone.
The company is pretty new so maybe they just have to work out some kinks,
but as far as not even answering my email back. Big disappointment!!

What do you think of His BlackBox? Have you tried it?
Do you like the idea?

 http://hisblackbox.com/

UPDATE: I have since tried to unsuccessful cancel my membership and
it is not going well. I have emailed them 3 times and have still not received
an answer. Next step is reporting them to BBB, and canceling my debit card!!!!

FYI: Their Facebook page has since disappeared!!

Wedding Wednesday!!

To hyphenate or not to hyphenate....

To hyphenate or not to hyphenate....
Lately I have been thinking about weather or not I should hyphenate
my last name or change it all together. I always thought
I would just change my last name to my husbands when I got married.
I like the idea of being a traditional lady.
However now I realize that I will be 28 years old when I get married in June.
Which means I already have credit, medical records and job history in my current last name.

I feel very torn with this situation. I like my current last name.
If we were to ever have children I would not hyphenate their last name.
My last name and Ray's last name do blend well, neither of us have horrible last names.

What do you think about hyphenated last names?

***As a bonus here's a link to last name's that should never be hyphenated. ***

Power of Pink

Hey everybody it's October which means it is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
I got the girls that work in my office pink ribbons to wear all month
it's only fitting especially being that we work in a doctor's office.
I will also be purchasing some limited edition pink items from my favorite
retailers being they are donating a portion of their proceeds to Breast Cancer Research.
It's a win-win I donate to a great cause and get something
new that's pink!

(being I just started my wedding dress shopping I thought this was
a cute extra!!)

What do you do to support Breast Cancer or any other type of Cancer?

Oh Yeah and some companies that are involved in donating portions of their proceeds are:
Sephora, Essie, OPI, EOS, La Mer, Aveda, Stilla, Clinque, Orgins,
Estee Lauder, Korres, Puma, Hautelook, Yoplait, Avon, Juice Beauty.
Just to name a few!!

Do I Heart Clarisonic?

Last month I purchased a Clarisonic Mia. The Clarisonic Mia is a slightly smaller
less heavy and cheaper version of the Original Clarisonic.
I chose the Mia over the original because it will be easier to travel with.
I of course have the pink one, being there are six colors to chose from.

So far I am not sure if I love it yet. I have seen so many other
reviews praising that Clarisonic to the high heavens.
However, I haven't noticed a big difference in my skin's appearance.
I do feel like I am getting a better clean but I also feel that way with the five
dollar scrublet from Sephora which works really well especially for five dollars.

My biggest complaint is my brush it never seems to dry fully. I use my Clarisonic in the
morning and at night. Every time I use it the brush is still damp from the previous use,
which I don't like, that is how bacteria breeds. I also didn't care for the Clarisonic brand
cleanser. I have instead used  Philosophy's Purity and Neutorogena Naturals
purifying cleanser. Which means I am on the search for my perfect
 cleanser for the Clarisonic.

What cleansers do you use with your Clarisonic?
And does your brush also stay wet?

Vogue Italia September 2011 Cover!

Vogue Italia September 2011 cover features British model Stella Tennant.
who has her waist cinched down to 13 inches to be exact in a black Prada Corset!

The cover is meant to be a tribute to the late Ethel Granger (1905-1982).
Granger was a lover of corsets and held the Guinness Book for the
smallest waist in the world.

On the inside of the magazine's current issue Ethel Granger is featured in various photo's
showcasing her tiny, tiny waist. Here a few of these photo's below.

What do you think of Vogue Italia September cover?
High fashion art or dangerous message?
